Gold Plated / Vermeil

At MCE Collections, we use 18ct gold vermeil, crafted by layering a thick coating of gold over a base of Solid Sterling Silver. This micron plating is done through electrolysis, making it the most durable and long-lasting form of gold plating. For a piece to be classified as vermeil, the gold layer must be at least 2.5 microns thick, offering you the luxury of gold with the strength of silver.

Gold Filled

Unlike traditional plating, gold filled jewellery features a thick layer of pure gold that is pressure-bonded to a base metal. This process creates a finish that is 5 to 10 times thicker than standard gold plating, making it highly resistant to tarnishing and wear. It won’t flake, fade, or lose its brilliance—making it a lasting investment in your jewellery collection.

Diamonds

We use only ethically sourced diamonds in our designs. At MCE Collections, we choose small, hand-selected diamonds that are conflict-free and responsibly mined, so you can wear your sparkle with peace of mind.
